I design systems and produce music with the same method.
IT manager of an insurance broker in Ticino, music producer. Two trades and a single way of working: read the structure, then build the version with the least inside.
I am Matthew John. At the office I am the IT manager of L+G SA / LG Swiss Broker, an insurance broker in Ticino, Switzerland: digital transformation, artificial intelligence and process automation, inside the Microsoft ecosystem. Outside the office I produce music: records, shows, lessons.
This page is not a résumé. It is how the two things hold together.

Sound
I studied for about ten years at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana. From there I moved to production and electronic music: the writing is the same, the instruments change.
In 2012, in Milan, I met the record producer Mirco Deangelis; the first projects for radio, television and records came from that. Since 2013 I have played as a DJ under the name Falls From Saturn and produced for others, often without signing: that is ghost production, the work that is not seen.
In 2015 KPM was born, with Patrick Carinci and Kevin Rotta. Since 2023 I have taught music production at ATAS, the Accademia Ticinese di Arti Sceniche, and written the music for its shows. Since 2026 I have been developing emerging bands and artists.

System
Computing arrived at thirteen, self-taught: computers, networks, programs. Then SSIG in Bellinzona, courses and certifications.
Today I am the IT manager of an insurance broker in Ticino. The work is digital transformation: bringing processes into systems that hold, automating what repeats, working out where artificial intelligence helps and where it does not. The environment is the Microsoft ecosystem.

Method
The two things are more alike than they look. In both I read a structure before touching it: an arrangement, a process. Then I build the version with the least inside, the one that can be explained in a sentence.
I experiment a lot and discard a lot. I treat a new problem like a track that does not work: isolate one part, try it, listen, put it back together.
When I produce a track I think in processes: versions, passes, returns. When I design a process I look for what I look for in a track: that it reaches the person using it without explanations.
