The site that does nothing is back in fashion
Another large product rebuilds its documentation as static pages and announces it as news. Sample entry, waiting for the real ones.

Every five years somebody rediscovers that a page with nothing to compute does not need a process running somewhere in order to be served. This time it is the documentation of a widely used product, and the release notes present it as an architectural innovation.
It is not an innovation. It is a return to the shape that thing had before somebody decided every page should be an application. The interesting part is not the technical choice, it is the argument used to defend it: it costs less, it breaks less, it does not need updating every Tuesday.
Those are the same three arguments you use when trying to talk a client out of buying a CMS, and for years they were not enough. Apparently they are enough when somebody else makes them.
