Drop the photos in, pick the long side and the quality, see what they weigh before and after. Up to twenty at a time, all in the browser.
Free, in the browser, no account
Or drag them here. Up to 20 at a time.
Orientation is applied — a portrait photo stays portrait — but EXIF data is not kept: location, camera model and date go away. For an image you are about to publish that is a good thing, but you should know it.
There is no zip: «Download all» starts the downloads one after another, and the first time the browser may ask permission for multiple downloads.
The images never leave your browser: nothing is sent anywhere.
It shrinks and recompresses images before you upload them somewhere. You choose how big the long side should become, in which format and at what quality, and for each file you see the starting size and weight next to the finished ones.
Up to twenty images at a time, each at most thirty megabytes.
If you ask for a long side bigger than the original, the image stays as it is. Enlarging a JPEG gives a heavier file with not one pixel more of information, and a tool called «compress» that hands back a bigger file has lied.
For the same reason the percentage stops at one hundred.
An already-compressed photo recompressed at 95% almost always grows. A small PNG reconverted to PNG can grow. The row says so with a sign in front, in both directions.
It is the opposite of what these tools usually do, which is to show only the cases where they worked.
A photo shot in portrait on a phone stays portrait: the rotation written in the metadata is applied to the drawing.
The rest of the metadata goes away. GPS location, camera model, date, exposure settings: the canvas hands back pixels, not metadata. For an image you are about to publish that is an advantage — it is a way of not carrying along where you took it — but it is a fact, and it should be known before, not after.
«Download all» starts the downloads one after another, with a breath in between. There is no archive because making one would mean adding a dependency, and this site has none.
The first time, the browser may ask permission for multiple downloads: that is the browser, not the tool.
No cropping, no manual rotation, no filters, no watermark. No AVIF: what a browser can write varies, and this tool promises only what everyone can write — PNG, JPG and WebP.
The images never leave your browser: they are not sent anywhere, they cross no network, and they are not written to disk until you press download.
PNG to JPG, to WebP and back. The size stays, the quality is yours, and under the transparency you put the colour you want.
Drop an image and pull out three to eight dominant colours, with hex and contrast. The image stays in your browser.
From one base colour to five harmonies, with the contrast ratio of black and white on every swatch and export to CSS.
