Business process automation
Workflows and automations with Power Automate, Dynamics 365 and other tools: notifications, document management, approvals, data synchronisation, document generation and integration between systems.
The problem
Every organisation has processes that run by hand because nobody ever questioned them: someone who checks a folder and sends an email, someone who copies data from one system to another, someone who fills in the same document from the same template. These are tasks that need no judgement but do need attention, and attention is the resource that runs out first. When a step is skipped, the error is found later and costs more.
The solution
I built, as a collection of internal projects, workflows and automations with Power Automate, Dynamics 365 and other tools. The examples are of this kind: automatic notifications; document management without manual steps; approval workflows with defined steps and owners; data synchronisation between systems that must say the same thing; document generation from data already present; data processing; integration between systems that were not built to exchange information. Every automation starts from an observed process, not from a tool waiting to be used.
Technologies
- Power Automate
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Other tools, chosen case by case according to the system being connected
The result
A series of processes that used to depend on one person’s attention now run on their own: notifications, filing, approvals, synchronisations, generated documents. The result that matters is not time as such but repeatability: an automation makes the same step the same way every time, and when something goes wrong it shows up in one precise place. I name no client: these are internal projects, and they are worth more as examples of a category than as single cases.
